Halloween 2011: Early Haunting on the Training Floor

Koryo FTC Halloween Potluck 2011

Halloween Potluck 2011

Halloween came early at the Koryo Family Taekwondo Center.

Halloween isn’t until Monday, 31 Oct 2011.  However, kids of all ages had the haunting of their lives a few days early–Friday, 28 Oct 2011, at the Koryo Family Taekwondo Center Halloween Potluck party.

We had creatures of all size, shape, age, and looks.  Here are some, just to name a few:

  • Link (from the Legend of Zelda)
  • Yellow Angry Bird
  • Zombie boy
  • Spiderman
  • Luigi
  • Vampire woman
  • Spider queen
  • Cleopatra
  • Anakin Skywalker
  • Yellow Kitty

At around 6pm, we started the haunting with a game of Green light, Red light.  Everyone seems to have figured out the game by game three.  Then we switched to the game of Four Corners.  Everyone seems to love this particular game as they sneak around the four corners trying to be quiet or distract the person trying to guess which corner they have taken.  Then we played Simon Says.  The kids were really paying attention, which made it hard to eliminate as many players as possible.  But the main things was kids were having a ball.
We played a couple more games afterwards:  pass the hula hoop and steal the bacon.  Since kids were having a blast, we wanted to make sure that bigger kids–the adults–could also join in the fun.  We had them play pass the hula hoop.  And guess what, they had a blast!
